The mission of Fortitude Fitness is to bring the best version of you forward by harnessing the transformative power found in strength training.  Unlike traditional personal training, our focus is not on the scale but on your mental health and overall well-being. 

We believe movement is the key to removing the roadblocks often created by traumatic experiences. To do this, we facilitate healing by using the humanistic approach found in psychology coupled with the personal power brought forth by strength training.

YOU ARE THE EXPERT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE

We take the person-centered approach, in that you are the expert of your experience, and you already possess everything needed inside of you to bring forth healing, we are just your guides!  Although this diverges from the typical personal training focus, you will still reap the benefits of fitness such as increased energy, change in body composition, and bolstered confidence!

Strength training will be the primary modality through which healing is facilitated, we also provide additional supportive techniques depending upon how you present and your needs to work through distress.  A session may also include breathwork, reiki, journaling, dream interpretation, projective drawing, guided imagery, or other simple forms of movement such as walking and stretching.
